The Advantages Of Video Marketing

video-marketingMore and more we are seeing the top marketers using videos to sell us their latest products instead of long sales letters.

Personally I much prefer to sit and watch a video rather than wade through tons of on screen text.

Don’t get me wrong, sales letters are still vitally important and can work equally as effective. In fact the 2 techniques combined are what you should be aiming for.

Being able to get a message across or learn how to do something is made so much easier if you can watch a video and hear someone talking about it.

As an internet marketer there’s little doubt that if you produce a short 2-3 minute video to promote your product or an affiliate product, you WILL make more sales. It’s a fact.

They don’t have to be Stephen Spielberg productions either. Often you’ll come across as more human and believable if your video is not quite that ‘polished’ as you might like.

Just seeing your face and / or hearing your voice provides massive amounts of trust and will make your prospect feel much more confident in buying from you.

Here’s a quick video that demonstrates how effective and easy video marketing can be:

Review of 72-Hour Product

The other day a fellow subscriber to The-Profit-Club, a guy called Scott Brooks approached me to review his new product.

Now I’ve never heard of Scott and to my knowledge he’s not contacted me before.

My initial thoughts for reviewing his product were slightly negative, only because I am so busy with my other projects right now.

But I haven’t done a product review for this blog for a while now and it’s probably time I included one.

So Here’s my 100% honest review of.. 72-Hour Product:

Title: 72 Hour Product

Sub Title: How To Create Your Own Information Products In 72 Hours Or Less

The Product:

The product is a 47 page electronic book and 9 video lessons, covering all the steps you need to take to create and market your very own information product. From market research to formatting the final product – all within 72hours.

Who Would Benefit From The Product?:

If you are new to internet marketing and want to get up and running in the shortest possible time with your own info product, then this is ideal for you.

Overview:

You get shown every step you need to take in detail and in easy to understand language. Plus you get to watch demonstrations and examples on video at various stages in the process.

There’s really nothing difficult in launching your own information product, but this report insures you leave nothing out and enables you to get it done in the shortest time possible.

Scott pays particular attention to market research and how to choose the best subjects that will be successful for you.

That and ‘keyword research’ is the most critical part of the process when developing a new project such as an ebook, short report etc. Both of these tasks are well covered.

Scott has also found a great free resource to help you analyze your keywords and lets you spy on your competitors keywords too! This was a bit of a find for me and I’ve been using it to good effect these last few days.

The real ‘meat’ of the product is the 2 methods Scott teaches you in order to create your information product quickly.

They are both tried and tested methods and both work very well. If you’re focused and put your mind to it, you really can create your info product in 72hours using one of these techniques.

Features:

I particularly like the fact that the video lessons are integrated into the book. So there’s no downloading 9 individual flash files to your computer, everything is nicely contained in the one product.

It’s a classic ‘step-by-step’ process which I love because it means less thinking and more doing.

Pros:

72 Hour Product is a real procrastination beater! If you’re determined to crank out your own product and want to do it real fast, then Scott will drag you over the finish line in double quick time!

All the information you need is here as well as some great free resources.

Usual 60 day money back guarantee, so you’ve got nothing to lose by giving it a go.

Cons:

Personally I think 72 hours is a little ambitious for creating an information product, especially if it is your first one. But the steps are all laid out for you, so if you only have an hour or so a day to work on your product (as most newbies only have) you still get all the necessary information.

Verdict:

72 Hour Product is a slightly different take on an already established and successful business model.

I’ve always promoted the ‘small report’ model because it’s easy to do and ultimately very profitable – I recently wrote a series of articles on the subject:

Scott teaches a method that is slightly different but equally as profitable and potentially much quicker.

I suggest you set aside a long weekend and go through the whole process from start to finish. By the end of it, you’ll have your very own product ready to sell.

And once you’ve done it, there’s no reason why you can’t simply rinse and repeat for your next info product.

Overall I am extremely impressed with Scott’s product. It’s well written, easy to follow, the accompanying videos are first class and it grabs you be the scruff of the neck form the off!

If you are new or have not yet created your own information product and want to do so in double quick time, I highly recommend 72-Hour Product:

Why People Buy Things – Part 10

In this final installment of "Why People Buy Things" we're going to cover the number 1 reason why most people will buy anything, and it is the most important reason of all for so many reasons and on so many levels. We're talking about quality of life.

Let's face it, when it comes down to the bottom line, the main reason most of us do anything, outside of those of us who spend our lives doing charity work, is that we want a better life for ourselves. Not only for ourselves, but for our partners and children as well.

We may not conciously say to ourselves when we go to purchase something that we are making this purchase because we want a better quality of life, but deep down inside that is exactly what is going on and to try to deny it would be pointless.

So, how can we, as marketers, capitalize on this or take advantage of this?

Well, the first thing YOU as a marketer must do is look at your product or service and honestly answer this question. "How can my product or service improve a person's quality of life?" Simple enough question. And if you know your product or service as well as you should, then you should have no trouble answering it.

When you've done that, all you then have to do is take your answer and make it part of your ad or site itself. You need to let potential customers know how your product or service is going to give them a better quality of life.

For example. Let's say you're selling a home cure for acne. How can this give somebody a better quality of life? Many ways. For starters, they'll look better once they use your treatment so they'll feel better about themselves. They won't be self concious about going out in public. Most likely they'll have an easier time meeting new friends or even that special friend.

If this isn't an improved quality of life then I don't know what is. On top of that, they'll actually be healthier because of it.

What if you're promoting a money making opportunity, which so many of us do? Well, this is also very easy. What you do is not so much promote the opportunity but how that opportunity can make people more financially secure because of all the money they're going to make with it.

This financial security will improve the quality of their life because they won't have to worry about not having the best food, clothes, medical care, shelter and other things. They'll be able to provide for themselves and their children. That's what this is all about.

You must have seen those sales pages with pictures of the author stood next to their expensive car, lovely home, on a luxury holiday etc. They all go into re-enforcing the quality of life aspect.

This is the absolute number one reason why people buy things and should be a strong theme running throughout your own sales letters.

If you can't look at your product or service and come up with at least three ways that it can improve the quality of somebody's life, then you really have to seriously reevaluate what you're selling. If you can't come up with anything good about it, how do you expect potential customers to be able to do the same?

Quality of life. It's the bottom line.
