Review of Affiliate Classroom
I recently attended an Internet Success Bootcamp. It was a 3 day event held in London, hosted by Frank Garon and John Thornley.
There were many great speakers there including Arman Morin, Marlon Sanders and Mike Filsaime.
Although I wasn't there for the whole 3 days, I did manage to catch Anik Singals presentation on affiliate marketing.
If you dont know who Anik Singal is, simply Google his name and you will see that at such a young age he is a very established and successful internet marketer.
He has built a fortune around affiliate marketing and as a result has created one of the most successful affiliate marketing membership sites on the internet - Affiliate Classroom.
I was very impressed with Aniks presentation and managed to chat with him during my time at the bootcamp. His systematic and Keep It Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S) system is very much a policy I advocate and I was eager to see how he utilised that in his Affiliate Classroom membership site.
This is my review of Anik Singals Affiliate Classroom:
Title: Affiliate Classroom
The Product: Paid membership site that teaches affiliate marketing.
Who Would Benefit From The Product?: Mainly newbies and some intermediate marketers who want to start or develop affiliate marketing as a primary or additional method of making money online.
Features:
A step-by-step training program
Case studies
Access to useful resources
A forum
Interviews with expert speakers
Monthly magazine
Overview: The first thing I noticed and liked about Affiliate Classroom is the 14 day $1 trial. This is usually taken as a mark of a product that is confident in delivering on its promises.
When you first login to the members area you get a good sense of structure and order which is exactly the type of layout a newbie needs.
It really is a paint by numbers set-up which has been developed and improved since first opening its doors in January 2005.
Step by Step Training
After looking through all the areas and reading some posts in the forum I got down to Affiliate Classrooms primary tool, the step-by-step training system.
This is where you log all your affiliate marketing activity for any project you are working on.
You can build your affiliate marketing portfolio and have more than one project running simultaneously. All the work in progress is saved for you and you simply pick up from where you left when you log back in to your account.
Basically you work through each step by completing a specific task and record your progress.
Each step has an action plan to help you complete it and there are 35 detailed Step Guides that teach you tasks such as market research, how to build a website and creating viral products.
There are currently 66 steps to complete for each of your affiliate projects.
Case Studies
There is a ton of case studies, although the term case studies does not really equate to the actual content.
They arent case studies of other affiliate projects, but detailed accounts of different aspects of affiliate marketing written by various people.
Having said that, these reports contain some excellent information and are very easy to follow and implement.
Interview Archive
Again this is an extremely impressive area of learning where many of the most successful affiliate marketing experts reveal their tactics and strategies.
There are hours and hours of top quality material that you can listen to at any time and download onto your computer.
Other
There is an affiliate program directory where you can search for relevant affiliate programs for your particular niche.
Useful marketing resource and tools area, a forum and a support section.
There is also a tool you can use to cloak your affiliate links.
Pros: The main benefit to Affiliate Classroom is the step by step project system and the detailed guidance through each step. This ensures anyone that follows the system will be confident that they havent missed anything out.
A wealth of excellent information regarding all aspects of affiliate marketing.
A good forum where you can get any of your questions answered.
14 day test drive for $1.
A system that has been tried, tested and tweaked since January 2005.
As you would expect, Affiliate Classroom also comes with its own affiliate system. They pay an impressive 2 tier, monthly recurring commission structure of $10 and $5 respectively.
This is affiliate marketing totally covered. If you like what you see and become a member, you wont need to look anywhere else for your affiliate marketing education.
Cons: Quite a high monthly fee of $29.97 after the initial 14 day $1 trial. (Although you do receive a heavy discount if you sign up for 12 months)
Too many steps in the step by step project system. Just the thought of having to complete all those steps might put a lot of people off from the start.
Verdict: If you want to start an online business using affiliate marketing or use it as an additional source of income, then Affiliate Classroom is the place you need to be.
I love simple step by step systems and although I think 66 steps is a little excessive, it covers absolutely everything you need, starting from scratch.
Instead of paying for the discounted yearly membership, I would recommend paying monthly to see how you get on.
The closest website to Affiliate Classroom is Allan Gardynes Associate Programs site - www.associateprograms.com. This is an excellent free resource with some great content, but not as focused or as detailed and doesnt compare with Affiliate Classrooms step by step training system.
For just $1 it is a no-brainer not to check it out and look through all terrific case studies and reports that are available.
Other Points: I intend to stick with the Affiliate Classroom membership for a few months to see how useful it is to keep all my affiliate projects in one place and to see how often the site is updated with fresh content.
Affiliate marketing is possibly the easiest and safest way to start earning money online.
If you want to learn how to do it properly and successfully then theres nothing else out there at the moment that can better Affiliate Classroom.
