Blog Mastermind
I thought it would be a good idea for my very first review to be Yaro Starak’s Blog Mastermind Mentoring Program.
When I decided to start this blog, I didn’t really know what to do, in which order or how to do it.
Luckily, whilst doing some blog research, I stumbled across Yaro Starak’s blog – ‘Entrepreneurs Journey’. I read his posts and liked what I saw.
Yaro claims to be consistently making around $4000-$6000 every month, and backs up his claims with impressive and very open proof and statistics.
To coincide with his Blog Mastermind mentoring program, Yaro released a free report – Blog Profits Blueprint.
This is an excellent report that he could easily have sold for $47 upwards.
If you haven’t read it, go check it out now:
It contains some excellent advice and tips you can implement right away and is a taste of what Yaro delivers in his Blog Mastermind program.
So after reading Blog profits Blueprint I jumped in and signed up to his Blog Mastermind Program on 21 Jun 07.
$1000 to $5000 per month
Yaro claims that you will be able to earn around $1000 to $5000 per month by following his program working 1 to 2 hours a day.
Here’s the inside story of what you can expect from his mentoring program:
A week by week mentoring course to help you:
- Set up and customise your Blog
- Build your readership
- And make money
Once you join you receive an initial welcome email with your login details.
This gets you to the ‘member’s area’ where you’ll find an easy to navigate page full of resources, plus a video message from Yaro.
You will also receive your first e-lesson via email.
E-Lessons
The e-lessons are sent to you weekly (or there about, depending on the homework that is set) and are designed for anyone who is brand new to blogging.
The first few lessons are designed to get your blog set up, designed and ready to go.
This includes installing useful plugins, getting your RSS feed set-up and deciding on your theme and layout.
Each lesson is a progression from the last and contains step by step guidance from setting up a brand new blog, all the way to earning a full time living by monetizing your blog.
Yaro encourages all his students to start with a Wordpress blog or to convert to one if you already have a blog and are using with a different platform.
As I said this is all set up for a new user, but there is plenty of information in the members area for more advanced bloggers to benefit from.
Forum
There is an excellent forum for paid members and is the perfect place to get any of your questions answered.
If you have a question regarding your blog, no matter how insignificant or foolish you may think it is, the chances are someone else has asked it and had it answered.
There are sections dealing with technical support, ways of getting traffic, general Q&A,s, joint ventures and networking opportunities and much more.
My advice would be to make use of the forum as much as possible. You will pick up some great tips there.
Yaro and a couple of experienced bloggers - including Daniel Scocco from ‘Daily Blog Tips’ regularly spend time in the forums, so there’s no excuse if you get stuck with anything.
Audios Resources
The resource area includes 10 audio transcripts of a blogging ‘Mindset’ series.
They contain a wealth of information about what it takes to run a successful blog and how to do it.
Here’s the list of the audios:
- The 80/20 Rule
- Taking action and establishing a vision
- Dealing with information overload
- Handling technical difficulties
- Choosing a blog platform
- Pillar Content
- Marketing your blog
- Giving mindset and when to move on
- Topic selection
- Monetization
There are also interviews with professional bloggers. These are the guys who are making serious money with their blogs.
Yaro has interviewed some of the most successful bloggers on the internet and the audios contain some terrific advice.
Case Studies
In the members area, Yaro takes a members blog and reviews it as a case study.
He analysis what is good about the blog and what improvements can be made.
These case studies are on live blogs using current members and are a great way for you to analyse your own blog and make it better.
Hopefully Yaro will review your blog and give you his recommendations.
Question and Answer Recordings
These audios are ideal for the newbie who may have a host of questions when first starting their blog.
What Yaro has done is to take a selection of the most popular questions from the forum and answer them in an expanded audio recording.
You can sit back and listen to the Q&A’s while taking notes.
So far there are 5 recordings answering dozens of questions.
Additional Resources
Finally, there are additional resources which include some more audio articles and interviews and links to some of the more popular keyword research tools.
My Opinion
I have only been a member of the Blog Mastermind Mentoring program for 7 weeks so I will update this review as I progress.
The initial signs however, are very encouraging.
It certainly isn’t a get rich quick scheme! Yaro indicates that it can take up to 6 months before you should look at trying to make money from your blog.
The main emphasis is on providing regular, quality and original content to your readers.
Once you have a decent amount of readers and visitors, then and only then, should you consider making money from your blog.
The good news is there are many different ways to monetize your blog using various streams of traffic.
The more traffic and subscribers you get, the more money you can make.
My advice would be to make sure that you have a real passion with what you are blogging about.
The recommended times you should post to your blog is every day. So you better be fired up about your chosen topic or you won’t be successful.
I personally don’t intend to post every day. I think there is a danger of blogs being full of meaningless posts simply because they thought they should post every day.
I will post consistently and post useful information, but I won’t post any old rubbish just because I should.
If it takes me longer to get the extra traffic, then so be it.
If you are considering blogging as a main source of income, then I would make sure you are prepared to put the work in - around 1-2 hours a day.
Yaro’s Mentoring Program provides you with all the information you need to produce a successful and profitable blog.
The rewards are high and the lifestyle is what most people dream of.
It certainly makes for a pleasurable way to earn a living.
I'll keep you updated of any major changes.
