If you're anything like me, you just want to turn your computer on and get cracking.

Isn't it frustrating to have to sit and wait for all those start up programs to load up first?  - Even more so if you're using a slower PC!

Use this 2 minute tip to seek out and selectively disable any such program that might be responsible for significant slow-down.

Note of warning! - This tip is not for a complete PC novice.  You need to be a competent user.

Here's how it's done:

Click 'Start' and select 'Run'.

Type "msconfig" (without the speech marks) and hit 'OK' or 'Enter'.

Within the System Configuration Window, click on the 'Startup' tab .

Here you will see all the start up programs running on your PC.

Simply click on any unnecessary or unwanted programs that you feel may be slowing down your computers start up.

Be careful not to unclick any crucial system start up procedures - mainly located at the top of the list.

If you want to reactivate any programs, just work through this tip again.
