Top 8 Methods To Promote Your Affiliate Link For FREE

As you know, there are numerous ways to make money online.
In my article; ‘How I Made My First Dollar Online’ I describe many of the techniques that are available.
These days I use a combination of 3 or 4 different methods to produce multiple streams of income. But if you are just starting out, you probably don’t know the best method or route to take.
By far the quickest and easiest way to start making money online is with affiliate marketing.
With affiliate marketing you don’t need a website or a mailing list or an autoresponder, or even know how ‘Pay Per Click’ works.
All you need is a ClickBank or PayPal account (which you can get for free) and you’re ready to go within minutes.
You simply find a product or service that you would like to promote that has a good affiliate program, grab your unique affiliate id and start promoting it.
Don’t Pay For Advertising
There are plenty of methods you can use to promote your affiliate link. I would suggest you exhaust all the free methods first before looking at paid methods such as PPC and newsletter advertisements.
I see too many people diving straight into costly PPC campaigns and lose a lot of money.
There is absolutely no need to pay for advertising when you start out, especially when you start a new affiliate campaign.
Spend some time researching all the free methods and make use of them. If done properly, you will see a constant and increasing stream of traffic to your affiliate link.
If you have success with this method then you can look at paid advertising.
Here Are The Top 8 Ways To Promote Your Affiliate Link For FREE:
1. At Forums.
Forums are a great place to promote your affiliate link. Make sure you read the forum’s terms of service before you start posting so you don’t get accused of spamming.
Simply contribute in forums that are related to your product and include your signature file at the bottom of each of your posts. The more you contribute the more traffic you will drive through your affiliate link.
2. Use free classified ad services.
There are a couple of sites out there which offer free classified ads for you to use. Put a listing for your affiliate product there and your income will be boosted especially if a lot of people visit the site to look at the classifieds. Craigslist is a very good classifieds site. Use Google to search for free ad posting sites where you may place ads for free.
3. Free Report.
Write a small report and include your affiliate link. When you write and distribute a free report, people usually check the sites/products that you recommend.
You only need to produce a small 10-12 page report based around the product you are promoting. Simply advertise it using the free methods listed here and give it away free to relevant website owners.
Your report will spread virally and very quickly sending you more traffic and increasing your affiliate commissions.
4. Email.
Place your affiliate links in your email signature.
In your daily communications with colleagues, friends, relatives, associates etc, you can add a signature to each email you send, and include within it your affiliate link.
5. Social Bookmarking Sites.
Sites like digg.com, reddit.com, stumbleupon.com etc can bring you a LOT of traffic. How about getting 20,000 and more visitors a day when your listing hits the front page?
Getting to the front page of these sites is not as difficult as it seems. Spend some time researching these sites and how to go about preparing your original article to submit to them.
6. Article Submissions.
Article submissions to article directories is one of the most effective ways to attract traffic to your affiliate link. Just write a 500-750 word article or articles and submit them to article directories.
By adding your resource box to the articles, you have a useful channel of additional traffic.
The main ones are:

7. Blogging.
It is very easy nowadays to create a blog. And by making your blog tightly targeted to a particular niche, such as around the product you are promoting, you will be surprised how much traffic you can attract to it.
The point of creating a blog is to promote your affiliate link. And you can do this via the first post you make to your blog. Or indeed you can promote your link in every post by using the signature approach mentioned in email and forum promotions.
