The Advantages Of Video Marketing

video-marketingMore and more we are seeing the top marketers using videos to sell us their latest products instead of long sales letters.

Personally I much prefer to sit and watch a video rather than wade through tons of on screen text.

Don’t get me wrong, sales letters are still vitally important and can work equally as effective. In fact the 2 techniques combined are what you should be aiming for.

Being able to get a message across or learn how to do something is made so much easier if you can watch a video and hear someone talking about it.

As an internet marketer there’s little doubt that if you produce a short 2-3 minute video to promote your product or an affiliate product, you WILL make more sales. It’s a fact.

They don’t have to be Stephen Spielberg productions either. Often you’ll come across as more human and believable if your video is not quite that ‘polished’ as you might like.

Just seeing your face and / or hearing your voice provides massive amounts of trust and will make your prospect feel much more confident in buying from you.

Here’s a quick video that demonstrates how effective and easy video marketing can be:

Scott Brooks - How to Write Ebooks @ 2:48 pm

Great post Peter. I'm in the process of testing video squeeze pages verses text-only pages. I'm expecting good results since videos have a high perceived value if done correctly.

Hi Scott,

Some of these new 'pre-made' videos look and sound just like a commercial and have no 'honesty' feel to them.

I think people will soon become blind to them as they are with a lot of PPC adverts.

I much prefer rough and ready, home made videos that are purposely created for the product.

Now these videos get my attention.

Like you say "if done correctly".

Good luck with your testing.

What you demonstrated in your video happens to me many times.
Someone sends me a free offer from another marketer, fine.
The trouble is, I can not order the product since I am
already on that other person's list.

Do you mean because it already has your email address and won't accept you again?

This happens to me also. I simply use another email address.

You are right, some don't accept me again. On the other hand,
when I see it is from someone I am already subscribed to, I just delete the email. I know they do this to get more subscribers. Me being subscribed already I don't see any point in it to sign up again. Does that make sense?
